Gyro Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients:

4 large lettuce leaves

¼ cup Greek-style plain yogurt

½ Tablespoon chopped fresh mint leaves

½ teaspoon M’lis Sweet

½ small cucumber, seeded and chopped (3/4 cup)

8 ounces ground turkey or chicken

1 Tablespoon water

½ Tablespoon lemon juice

¼ teaspoon Sea salt

¾ teaspoon fresh cilantro, minced

¾ teaspoon fresh oregano, minced

1 clove garlic, finely chopped

½ small onion, chopped (2 Tablespoons)

1 Tablespoon olive oil

1-2 cups shredded lettuce

1 small tomato, chopped (3/4 cup)

Directions:

Place 2 lettuce leaves side by side- overlap about 1 inch. You should have 2 lettuce arrangements equal the size of a tortilla.

Mix yogurt, mint and M’lis Sweet in small bowl. Stir in cucumber.

Mix turkey or chicken, water, lemon juice, salt, cilantro, oregano, garlic and onion. Shape mixture into 4 thin patties.

Heat oil in 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Cook patties in oil 10 to 12 minutes, turning frequently, until no longer pink in center. Place cooked patty in each lettuce arrangement. Top with yogurt mixture, lettuce and tomato.

Roll up lettuce wraps like you would a burrito. Serve immediately.
